Joseph Rancourt, born around 1655, son of Pierre and Jeanne-Claude de Boisandré of St-Jean de Caen (Calvados), Normandie, married in Beauport on February 5, 1685 (contract Duquet, January 26) to Marie Parent, David Corbin's widow, and daughter of Pierre Parent and Jeanne Badeau.

He married his second wife, Marie-Françoise Davault, at Château-Richer, on September 18, 1701. Marie-Françoise Davault, was christianed at Pointe-aux-Trembles, Quebec on September 15, 1680. She was the daughter of Charles Davaux-dit-Laplante d'Orveillis and Marguerite d'Aubigny.

Joseph Rancourt was buried in Quebec, on March 21, 1719.

We are direct descendants of Arthur Rancourt, son of Georges Rancourt and Marie Gilbert.
